I recall that quote by Daniel Parkhurst in the opening of Juliette Aristedes' Classical Drawing Atelier, and it's always stuck with me. Radiolab this week posted a short conversation between Malcom Gladwell and Robert Krulwich called Secrets of Success in which they skim the surface of success, talent, genius, and passion.
It's an interesting listen for all us artists, but relates to any field. Talent=Love has always been my feeling on the subject. If you're not already a Radiolab listener, and you're any kind of nerd (like me), you should check it out.
